Say No to Peripheral Canal, Drainage Problem Lands, and BDCP, C-WIN Writes to David Hayes
When the Obama Administration announced that Deputy Interior Secretary for Water Resources would be David Hayes, C-WIN was pleased. Hayes had been involved with the CalFED process of the 1990s and is familiar with its 2000 Record of Decision. In August 2009, we wrote a letter briefing him about three contemporary water issues in California: the drainage problems of the western San Joaquin Valley, the proposed Peripheral Canal, and the Bay Delta Conservation Plan process.
